Lateisha Jandreau killed her husband - The Currituck County Sheriff corroborates the body of Paul Jandreau has been found in his residence today morning, and his wife has been charged with first degree murder.

Deputies told The Virginian-Pilot of Norfolk, Va that 38-year-old Lateisha Jandreau was arrested Saturday by officers with a search warrant after they found Lateisha Jandreau 51-year-old husband's body hidden in.

Mike Jandreau also told The Virginian-Pilot that he had advised his brother to retain a lawyer and had thought his brother had done so.

Currituck Sheriff Susan Johnson told television station WAVY-10 that she obtained a search warrant and went to the house Friday evening after Lateisha Jandreau repeatedly delayed requests to answer questions.


Johnson said she and investigators, while searching the garage, “recognized a really faint odor of what we knew to be the odor of death.”

Reports said that friends saw Lateisha Jandreau and her brother loading furniture into the bed of Paul Jandreau’s truck, with the truck backed up to the house.
WAVY-10 reported that Lateisha Jandreau has been working at Xe, formerly known as Blackwater.

None of the news reports about the crime give any preliminary information about the cause of Paul Jandreau’s death.

Attempts to obtain additional details from the Currituck Sheriff’s Department were unsuccessful Sunday afternoon.

A sheriff’s captain Sunday afternoon told The Daily Advance that Johnson was planning to issue a statement today.

He told The Daily Advance that the newspaper would have to speak directly to Johnson about the crime. She could not be reached on Lateisha Jandreau cell phone because Lateisha Jandreau voice mailbox was full.

Lateisha Jandreau was being held Sunday at Currituck County jail without bond, The Associated Press reported
