Searching for Summer solstice 2010, longest day of the year or first day of summer 2010 then check out this post.

A solstice is an astronomical event that occurs semiannually, when the tilt of the Earth's axis is most inclined toward or away from the Sun, making Sun's obvious position in the sky to spread its northernmost or southernmost extreme. The name is derived from the Latin sol  and sistere, because at the solstices, the Sun stands still in declination; that is, the apparent movement of the Sun's path north or south comes to a stop before reversing direction.

First day of summer 21 June 2010

Summer Solstice  June 21st  the longest day of the year, the shortest night of the year. A celebration of the Sun – the warmth of the Sun, its wonderful light (representative of our consciousness), and the gentle time between Spring planting and Autumn harvesting.
